5 Ways To Correctly Charge Your Phone’s Battery

Unplugging your phone from the charger relieves it from overcharging as if it had just done an intense workout. According to Battery University, removing the device from charging when it reaches 100% is like “relaxing muscles after strenuous exercise”.

Don’t charge your battery to 100 percent
You must not charge your phone to 100 percent at least when you don’t have to.

Charing phone battery

According to Battery University, “Lithium-ion batteries do not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because a high voltage stresses the battery” and wears it away in the long run

Plug in your phone whenever you can

◾Charging your phone at small intervals may damage the battery life.

◾It’s better to only charge your phone when they are close to dead.

It turns out that your phone battery will stay much happier if you charge it every now and then throughout the day, instead of charging it for a big charging session when it’s empty. According to Battery University, it’s best when you charge your phone when it loses 10%, albeit. it’s not possible to be conscious all the time, but just plug it whenever you can. It’s fine to plug and unplug it multiple times a day.

Hence, multiple, short bursts of charging are advised over one long charge, when it’s empty.

Keep your device cool

Don’t charge your battery at extreme temperatures. “Extreme cold and high heat reduce charge acceptance, so the battery must be brought to a moderate temperature before charging,” Battery University says.

Apple advises users to remove phone cases if they notice their device heating up while charging.  “If you notice that your device gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first. If you’re out in the hot sun, keep your phone covered. It’ll protect your battery’s health,” stated Apple.

Using off-brand chargers destroys batteries.

As long as it’s not the knockoffs that you’re using, it is good. Cheap knockoffs are what will damage your battery and smartphone. Off-brand chargers spoil your charging pot and can damage your smartphone.
