Google Reinstall Samsung Adblocker Without Explanation.

Just a few days after Samsung announced it was allowing adblocking extensions into its Internet browser, Google pulled Adblock Fast . It was one of the first apps to support the new API, but the search giant removed it without explanation.

Not up to a week after the app was pulled from the Google play store, Google has re-instated Adblock Fast without a real explanation following the creator filing an appeal with the Play Store.

Sources told TNW at the time that the company had taken issue with the fact that the adblocking required two apps to function, but many other apps in Google Play operate in a similar fashion.

Adblock Fast is back on the Play Store today and is available for free download again, so if you’re inclined to block ads on your Samsung device you can do it all over again.

Google previously told TNW that “While we don’t comment on specific apps, we can confirm that our policies are designed to provide a great experience for users and developers.”
