Meet This Android Phones With 8GB RAM

Well, if you roll your eyes when hearing that android phones have 6GB of RAM these days, then you’d better prepare yourself. A new report says that Chinese company LeEco will launch a handset with 8GB of RAM early next month, maybe on the same day Apple hosts its iPhone 7 event.

LeEco have become unstoppable in the smartphone world and are teasing another new handset that would bring a new record amount of RAM with it.

It’s become quite common to see flagship phones of 2016 with 4GB RAM, and there are even a handful with 6GB RAM, but what about 8GB? Well that’s the number LeTV could have settled on with their new LeEco Le2S handset.

According to GizChina, the LeEco Le 2s – which is a terrible name, by the way – will feature the hot new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and 8GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, you can expect 64GB of built-in memory. The device should have a 5.5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass and likely 2K resolution, at least considering the specs above

Samsung is reported to be working on Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB of RAM which isn’t going to be available outside of China. Samsung rationalized its choice to make a 6GB version by saying that it wants to compete better against local brands that keep pushing the envelope when it comes to RAM (though Samsung now seems to be rethinking the decision).

On the other hand, if Chinese companies are willing to increase the amount of RAM in phones, it’s likely Samsung and other companies will follow suit, Samsung is already reported to be working on Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB of RAM which isn’t going to be available outside of China. Samsung rationalized its choice to make a 6GB version by saying that it wants to compete better against local brands that keep pushing the envelope when it comes to RAM at least for the region which happens to be the biggest mobile market in the world.

  1. Good thinking.. But i don't feel increasing RAM would necessarily improve performance drastically. At this point a 2gb RAM phone that is well optimised will do better than a 8gb poorly designed phone. Just as a full tank of fuel dosent mean your car would reach top speed quicker.
